A Sign of the Times

The Israeli foundation that administers the Western Wall in Israel has launched an iPhone app called "iKotel" that streams live from the site around the clock (except on the Jewish sabbath and holidays, when transmissions are forbidden by Jewish law.)

The app allows users to send emails to be placed in the crevices of the old wall, a Jewish custom. It also includes a compass that allows users to pray in the direction of Jerusalem, another Jewish practice.

Michal Ophir of The Western Wall Heritage Foundation says the app "brings the Western Wall to every Jew in the world because it is the heart of the Jewish people." The wall is a remnant of the biblical Jewish Temple complex and is Judaism's holiest prayer site in the world.

Since Jesus Christ was a Jew, and I am His child, I am adopted in His family.

He's coming soon......

One Solitary Life - Jesus

He was born in an obscure village, the son of a peasant woman.

He grew up in another village, where he worked in a carpenter's shop until he was thirty. Then for three years he became a wandering preacher.

He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He didn't go to college. He never visited a big city. He never travelled two hundred miles from the place where he was born. He did none of those things one usually associates with greatness.

He had no credentials but himself.

He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. He was turned over to his enemies and went through a mockery of a trial. He was executed by the state. While he was dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing, the only property he had on earth. When he was dead he was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Twenty centuries have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race and the leader of mankind's progress. All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as that One Solitary Life.

-------------------

JESUS CHRIST! We celebrate His birth today on Christmas. He's still alive! He still sets people free! He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow! He can set you free too - just ask Him into your heart and He will save you from eternal hell and save you from a life of no peace here on earth! Just ask Him to take over your life and He will.

Jesus Christ

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy
Would someday walk on water?
Mary did you know
That your baby boy
Will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your baby boy
Has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered
Will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know
That your baby boy
Will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know
That your baby boy
Will calm the storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy
Has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby
You've kissed the face of God.
The blind will see
The deaf will hear
The dead will live again
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of the Lamb

Mary did you know
That your baby boy
Is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know
That your baby boy
Will one day rule the nations?
Did you know
That your baby boy
Is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding
Is the Great I Am

Lesson

Last week my pastor preached a sermon, "Obedience brings increase." As we obey God, we will grow more like Him. If you're wondering why you're standing still, you might not be acting on what God told you to do. You might not be obeying Him. This hit me particularly hard, since last week I felt the Lord prompting me to go pray for a young man that I did not know, but heard he had pneumonia in the hospital. When I learned he had died 2 days after I was prompted, I was so disappointed in myself. I don't know what would've happened if I had been obedient, but I know that I cannot get to the next level with my Father unless I obey Him. Such a difficult lesson to learn.

No fear

Yesterday a young man from my church sent me a Bible verse that he felt like God was telling him to give me. "For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind." It was a wonderful confirmation for me, as the Lord has been whispering this in my ear for a few weeks. So much of our lives are wasted on fear. And fear is the opposite of faith. And the Bible says that without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Let me also add, that we ARE supposed to have a fear of the Lord, a reverence for the Almighty God, a respect for our Creator. So I am not talking about that kind of fear. No, fear is lots of things, none of which are good or show faith. All of our worries - they just show that we are not trusting God with them. For example money. If you have big money problems, the Word says, "Don't worry about anything but pray about everything." Give it over to Him.
I shared last week that I felt like the Lord was prompting me to go pray for a sick man that I did not know. My fear kept me from doing that. Fear of looking silly. Fear that I only thought I heard God. Fear that they would be insulted. Fear... it's a bad spirit. And it's one of the main ways the enemy uses to paralyze us from doing the right thing.

Busy

Oh Jesus, we come into this world alone and we leave alone. It really is just You and me... I do long to spend more time with You, because it gives me great joy. This time of year gets so busy, that we forget that You are the reason for the season. It's like planning and giving a wedding; we get so wrapped up in all of the details, that we forget that it should be about the love and the time this couple is about to commit to. And it's like being pregnant - the mom-to-be is so concentrated on the delivery, that she's not thinking about when the baby arrives. And so it is with the time leading up to Christmas. So much shopping. So much decorating. So many Christmas parties. So many school concerts. So many school parties. So much baking. So much gathering of families. And yet.... all You want, Jesus, is to spend time with us. You want to help us tell others about how much You love them. And that's what I want to. I love You, sweet Jesus.

Time

Sometimes, like today, this world gets to be too much for me.... The sadness takes over and I don't want to play any more. The enemy has been attacking my family and he wants me to quit. He's making it real tempting. But I can't. No, there is work to be done, and no matter what, I will go on, with God's help. It seems the news is so depressing the past couple of years, that I don't even want to know what's going on. They keep saying we are teetering on the brink of disaster. And there's not a thing I can do about it but pray. Even non-Christians can sense that the world is in free fall. And even they can see the set up for the anti-Christ. Look around, the scene is being set for the end times, and sooner than later. All of the Biblical prophecies have taken place that have to before the rapture can happen, so it can be at any moment. And His word tells us to be working until He comes. So I will. And if the rapture happens tonight, I will be sad for all of my unsaved friends and family, because God gives everyone a chance. I think the people on earth right now have an advantage, because even the lay person's eye can see us like we're on the Titanic. It's just a question of time, how much time do we have?

And so I say, repent. Turn away from your sins. Tell God you agree that you're a sinner, and you accept His gift of salvation - that when Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He took our punishment for us. Ask Him to "take the wheel" and let Him be in the driver's seat, not you.
And then don't do those bad things any more.
See you in heaven...

Sadness

Yesterday a friend of mine posted on Facebook that his 27 year old friend was in the hospital in the town I work in with pneumonia. He was asking for prayer for this great 'kid' whom he worked with often. I debated about going to the hospital to pray for him, but thought he's probably really sick and I don't even know him. I had a bad feeling about it last night, and at midnight was praying for him, but couldn't shake the feeling.

This morning, my friend posted on Facebook that he had died.
Never again will I not follow the Holy Spirit's prompting to go pray when I get the nudge...

Reason for the Season

I'm trying not to get caught up in the commercial part of Christmas this year. I'm concentrating on the 'Reason for the Season,' -- Jesus! I do love the way people are nicer this time of year, and there is Good Will and giving and kindness. Jesus Christ made such an impact on this earth, that the world takes a day to celebrate His birth and ultimate death, since He died on the cross for our sins to take our punishment. And when we accept His gift of salvation - it is spiritual healing, mental healing and physical healing. It's not just that your spirit is healed - so is your mind and body. "By the stripes of Jesus, we were healed." You can have the abundant life on this earth!

Joy to the World!!

Just remember, we don't know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future.

God promises to take care of our needs, and that He will always be with us.
He says He will give us peace that passes all understanding.

One day

Would love to share something that happened at church a week ago on Thanksgiving weekend.... in our Spirit-filled church, when people feel like God wants them to share, they come up to the front of the church between praise songs. Lots of people were sharing, and God was definitely moving. People share testimonies, spiritual dreams, prophecies and words of knowlege. It was very poignant and even more special than usual. After the pastor's sermon, he often will point at someone and tell them what God has told him about them, spiritually speaking.

We had a visitor in the back, an attractive woman, middle aged whom he pointed to. He started telling her things that God had told him. She remained poker faced, which is unusual, as most start crying or are very moved. After several minutes, pastor said, "is this right?" And she started walking forward. He prayed for her, and then she said she wanted to share something and went to the microphone.
She relayed her story - that she had been married to a wonderful Christian man for 33 years, and that this past July, only 4 months earlier, they were walking and holding hands at the mall, and he said that sometimes God takes people very quickly. He was in the oil and gas business in West Texas, and had told her if he ever died at work, that a company truck would come to their house with 3 men. Two days later, she said the morning felt strange. After her husband left for work, she was reading the Bible and kept coming to scriptures about death. She got a bad feeling and kept trying to call him. He always answered his cell phone, but not today. She started pacing and worrying and watching the window. She watched the company truck pull up, and begged God, no, no, not her husband. As they got out the of truck, she counted 1-2-3 men and she ran out to meet them. He had been killed an hour after he left home in his company vehicle. Someone ran a stop sign going very fast, and broad-sided him. He was killed instantly. As she told the story, she cried, and we all cried. She talked about how lost she is without him, and could hardly get out of bed these 4 months. Pastor asked that some of the women of the church come up and pray with her. Almost all women went forward, and prayed and prayed. She was told that God would be her husband, as the Word says, and many other comforting things.
She called pastor this week to tell him to tell our church that God had used us to completely change her life. She said before that day, she woke up every day saying she was one step closer to dying and seeing her husband. But after that day, she was renewed and says, "What can I do for You today Lord?" You see, God brought her to our church that day to speak through us to tell her how much He loves her and that He still has plans for her. And that He will be with her and give her peace. Oh, God is an awesome, loving Father. And He has no favorites; He loves you just the same...

7 things

God's Word says there are seven things which God hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

1. a proud look (pride is the main factor that drives us to disobedience and rebellion)
2. a lying tongue (He is truth)
3. hands that shed innocent blood (you shall not murder)
4. a heart that devises wicked plans (the mind is the source of sin)
5. feet that are swift in running to evil (sinners are not content just to walk)
6. a false witness who speaks lies (we need to guard our tongue)
7. one who sows discord among brethren (avoid those who cause divisions)

Gifts

Church was AWESOME today!! It just keeps getting better and better! I go to a Spirit-filled church, that is keeping it real! During praise and worship people come up to the microphone in between songs and testify and it is wonderful! And this week lots of people came up because God is good and they are testifying! I love to praise God and I love to hear people tell of His goodness, and I love that our pastor and others prophesy and give words of knowledge! If you aren't going to a Spirit-filled church with the gifts flowing, you are missing out!

Word

Faith comes through hearing the word of God. You're not growing in faith if you're not reading God's word. As a matter of fact, you're going backwards if you're not reading God's word. You're either advancing or retreating, but you're never staying in the same place. God's word says in John 1:1, "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Victory

This is very valuable information for those that seek victory in Jesus. Start praising Him and your victory will happen. Even when you can't see it yet, start praising Him. Praise in advance of seeing what you're asking for. God will see your faith, and grant your request. Try it.

Covet

As the economy worsens, it's easy to slip into coveting what others have, even my good friends and family. I've got to keep my eye on the prize, heaven. Some day all of this will be gone, and all that will be left is what we've done for God. "Only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last." Yes, money doesn't bring happiness but it CAN make you VERY comfortable, and most of us want that! But Jesus brings us the peace that passes all understanding, which most rich people would pay anything for.

The Bible says we cannot serve God AND mammon (money.)

Chips

One of the most important lessons I'm teaching my children is, do the right thing always and let the chips fall where they will. This may seem like common sense, but you'd be surprised at how many let the ends justify the means, which is a little trick of the enemy. You know, the 'white' lies, for instance. Well, no matter what 'color' the lie is, it's still a lie. Or if you're at work, and you're co-worker is really hateful to you. You may want to do otherwise, but continue to take the high road. Several of my youngest child's friend's parents have been very rude to us since we are church goers. But I continued treating them nicely, and they have come to respect me and say nice things now. I'm not the one they will call to go out for a drink, but I am the one they will call when they need prayer...

Love

God is love. God wants intimacy with us. He wants a relationship with us. He wants to spend time with us. He is jealous of our love, our time, our affections when we ignore Him.
As I've thought about the way he created man and woman and marriage, I think He did this so that we could have a foretaste of love. He could have created us all the same - no man and no woman. But He didn't. I think He wanted us to know the special, close relationship of love and then marriage. And then, the fact that their love creates a procreation, a child, then it shows us a parent's love as He is our Father. We can appreciate more the fact that He sent His one and only Son to come to earth and suffer as He took our punishment.
Our God is an awesome God.

Closer

The birth pangs are getting closer and closer together. This earth is in labor. It's crying for Jesus to come back. Can you feel it? Even the non-believers sense something.

Are you ready?

Body

The Bible says, if we are His children, then our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. If you haven't ever thought about that, take time to do so. We cannot just eat junk food non-stop without consequences. We need to be mindful of the bodies that God gave us and take care of them.

And then, realize that since God is a Spirit, He has to use His children to do the physical things here on planet earth. He has to use our hands to heal through, our eyes to smile through, our lips to speak through. We are His vessels. We 'house' the Holy Spirit, as His children.

Think

Here's a thought.... There are lots of people saying that the earth will end in 2012. You and I don't really know because only God really knows when it will be. But the interesting question is, are you ready? What if Jesus is coming back in 2012? We're within 2 months of 2011. So if Jesus comes back on January 1st, 2012, we only have 14 months until that day. What will you do until then, if in fact, He comes back that day? Will you work for the Lord, and tell as many of your friends about Him, because after 1-1-12, it will be too late? I mean seriously, THINK about it. If we REALLY knew when He was coming back, we would be getting ready. We wouldn't be investing our money in retirement. We wouldn't be stressed out about a promotion at our job. We wouldn't be setting aside a college fund for our children. We would be getting ready.

Think about it....

Praise Him

Church was awesome today; our praise and worship keeps getting better and better. An update about the 3 year old boy, Luke, that I (and others) were praying for this week. He started having seizures out of nowhere and was rushed by ambulance to the closest city's children's hospital. We all know that seizures are a sign of very scary things like a brain tumor and epilepsy, to name a few. But he was tested for all of those things and got the all clear. They then realized that he has an infection that went to his brain. After MUCH prayer, Luke had a breakthrough, after his dad and our pastor had a prayer session, and he hasn't had a seizure since then. We are still praying.

Pastor and his daughter-in-law noticed that the devil was attacking the first born's in our church family, and 5 people in our small church were in the hospital this week. I've always heard that satan attacks the people who are going to do the most for God, or, like the mafia, he attacks their family members. But we are not accepting ANY of THAT!
The Bible says that the devil flees when we are praising God, so we're praising non-stop!
Praise God!

The goal

I'm going to follow Jesus, even if no one else does. I'm going to do what He wants me to do, even if no one is with me. We come into this world alone and we leave it alone. It's really just the person and God. We have to work out our own salvation. No one else can do it for us. No one rides the coat tails of someone else into heaven, they make their own decisions. I made mine years ago, and I will endure. It's the only thing that makes sense of this world. God never said it would be easy, but He said He would be with His children. And that if we endure, we WILL ulitimately go to our reward.

Gay

Is it OK to be Gay and Christian?
Wednesday, 03 November 2010 10:42 AM EDT J. Lee Grady Newsletters - Fire In My Bones

Charismatic pastor Jim Swilley’s announcement that he is gay opened the door wider for a subtle delusion. Don’t believe it.

Many people were shell-shocked last week when Atlanta pastor Jim Swilley stood in front of his congregation, Church in the Now in Conyers, Ga., and announced that he is gay. The 52-year-old minister was abruptly removed from his position in the International Communion of Charismatic Churches—a network in which he served as an overseer. Some of Swilley’s members left his church, others stayed, and countless others are now scratching their heads.

We Americans are lost in a moral fog. Two major Protestant denominations (the Episcopal Church USA and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) have voted to ordain gay clergy. Meanwhile, gayness is celebrated in our media, and anyone who refuses to bow to this idol is painted as intolerant and homophobic.

“The sins we avoid addressing from the pulpit are the sins that will thrive unchallenged in our culture. We must develop some backbone and speak the truth in love.”

Christians who still believe homosexuality is incompatible with biblical faith feel painted into a corner. If we defend Christian morality, and even if we speak with compassion to those who may struggle with same-sex attraction, we are accused of hate speech or branded as judgmental. So we tiptoe through the minefield of political correctness—and keep our mouths shut.

Sorry, but timidity on this issue is not acceptable. The sins we avoid addressing from the pulpit are the sins that will thrive unchallenged in our culture. We must develop some backbone and speak the truth in love. Here are four truths that should factor into any discussion on this topic:

1. Everyone is born with issues. King David wrote: “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me” (Psalm 51:5, NASB). David acknowledged that he had an inborn sin nature. This is true for all of us!

Many “gay Christian” advocates insist that some people are born homosexuals and therefore they have no hope of altering their orientation. But this is a lame argument since we all are born with a propensity toward certain sins. This is the human condition: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Just because you are born with an inclination toward adultery, alcoholism, shoplifting or pride doesn’t mean you have to stay that way.

2. Christ offers forgiveness and sexual healing. The more strident voices in the gay community hate when Christians speak about homosexuals being healed or reformed. They insist that if you are gay, you must stay that way. They choose to ignore the fact that thousands of people have left homosexuality after coming to faith in Christ.

My friend Alan Chambers, president of Exodus International, came out of the gay lifestyle many years ago and now has a great marriage with his wife, Leslie, plus two beautiful children. The ministry he leads has helped countless people—including many Christian “strugglers”—find emotional freedom. Some of them experienced same-sex feelings from childhood; others developed these feelings because they were sexually molested or because of dysfunction in their families.

Whatever the cause of sexual brokenness, the gospel has always provided the solution. It was true for people in the Corinthian church, to whom Paul wrote: “Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals … will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God” (1 Cor. 6:9-11, emphasis added).

3. Discipleship requires self-denial. In his announcement to his church last week, Jim Swilley said he decided to come out as gay because he was tired of pretending. I’ve talked with others who told me they felt they were being “dishonest” by ignoring their gay feelings. They said they felt free when they accepted “who they really are” and got involved in gay relationships.

For a Christian, that’s a cop out. The essence of our walk with Christ involves denial. Jesus said: “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me” (Matt. 16:24). Jesus was not asking us to pretend we don’t have problems—He calls us to bring all of those problems into His light through repentance. But the Holy Spirit gives us the power to deny sinful desires. That quality of self-control is a fruit of the Spirit (see Gal. 5:22-23).

4. Homosexuality is not a protected category of sin. Many “gay Christian” advocates insist that if you are gay, then it’s fine to go out and have all the sex you want. They ignore biblical commandments against homosexuality (usually by saying that Old Testament law doesn’t apply today); meanwhile they advocate gay marriage even though most gay men are rarely monogamous. The message is clear: If you have same-sex desires, just go ahead and indulge because that’s how you were created.

This is what the Bible calls licentiousness—which means “lacking legal or moral restraints, especially sexual restraints; disregarding rules.” Actually, the Bible lumps homosexuality in with every other form of sexual sin—and says God will punish those who engage in it. After Paul warns about every form of immorality, he says: “So, he who rejects [these rules] is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you” (1 Thess. 4:8).

Regardless of how loudly the world trumpets its hedonistic agenda—and no matter how many backslidden preachers dance to the tune—God has the final say on this matter.

Right now

I am noticing the enemy attacking the most on fire Christians at my church. Today one of our church pillar's son starting having seizures and was rushed by ambulance to the nearest city's children's hospital. Well I've got news for you, satan... You cannot have this little boy! He is covered with the BLOOD OF JESUS! He is surrounded by lots and lots of God's angels for protection. And, since this 3 year old is in the family of God's child, He WILL BE HEALED!! God's Word says that WHATEVER we ask in the NAME OF JESUS, God will do. It is also written, "The seed of the righteous SHALL be delivered." And, "I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants." You leave him alone, satan!! It is written, "By the stripes of Jesus we WERE healed." and "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they SHALL recover."

Thank you, God, that RIGHT NOW you are healing Luke - in Jesus' name.

Burden

It looks as though God has heard the prayers of His children. We yearn to get America back to where it was years ago. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says that God will heal our land if His children pray and earnestly ask. It's time we stand up to evil. We have to say something. "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." We've got to fight. Jesus did not tell us to go and wait for Him while we did nothing; no He said to be working for Him until He comes back. We've got to keep telling people about how Jesus saves... not only for eternity, but also for a more abundant life here on earth. So many are lost. They have no peace. They are just wandering around looking for meaning for their lives. We've got the answer; we've got to tell them. We've got to care more. We've got to ask God to give us a bigger burden for the lost. It's our ultimate purpose.

Best

We're all too busy here in America. Jesus wants our time. He wants the best of our time, and not the five minutes before we go to bed, or when we're so sleepy in the morning, that we don't even remember. It's like tithing in the Old Testament. It was the FIRST fruits, not the last of the barrel. It was the best animals for sacrificing, not the defected ones. God wants our best. He deserves our best. He's the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He's the Creator of the Universe. He died on the cross for our sins when we didn't deserve it. He took our punishment for us. He deserves our best.

Triumphant

Well, here in the United States, it's Halloween. I've read several different stories on how this 'holiday' began, but it does seem to be most likely that it was thought that one day a year, the spirits came out, and people wore masks to hide from the spirits. It's usually around a Harvest full moon, and it is reported that the Druids had their pagan traditions around this time as well.
For children, it seems like a harmless fun holiday to play dress up and get candy. For those that worship satan, it's a 'high holiday,' where they perform satanic rituals and kill animals and often humans. And now with vampires being so popular with the kids from movies like Twilight, there are people who call themselves vampires, who in essence, drink lots of human blood. I read a disturbing story a while back of a group of young adults who murdered someone on a beach to feast on their blood...
Not such an innocent holiday to be sure.
The good news is that Jesus is triumphant over ALL evil. Yes, satan still rules this world, and yes, God still gives us free will. But when Jesus comes back, it will be a different story. Jesus said, "In this world you will have tribulation, but rejoice, I have overcome the world." He is still the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and He's still on the throne. He also said, "Greater is He that is in Me, than he that is in the world." Don't forget that God created Lucifer (satan) and gave him free will. It was satan that rebelled and wanted to be on the same level as God.
I've read the end of the book. WE WIN!!

Time

This is one of the videos that's all over the internet saying it's possible that a time traveler was the person in this video from 1928, since it looks like they're on a cell phone. Well, I don't know about that (because who would she be talking to?) But there is a story in the Bible that is also hinting of time travel. It's about Phillip, and he talks to someone about Jesus, and then goes with the man to be baptized. It says when they came up out of the water, he found himself elsewhere. If you look up where he says he had been, and where he was in the blink of an eye, it was a day or two's journey away. You can look for yourself on the Biblical map in your Bible.
In Acts 8:34-40, it says, "And the eunuch answered Philip and said, "Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself, or of someone else?" And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. And as they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?" And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord SNATCHED Philip away; and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing. And Philip FOUND HIMSELF at Azotus; and he passed through he kept preaching the gospel to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.
He had been on the road from Jerusalem to Gaza and was instantly in Azotus.
That's the definition of Supernatural.... it's outside of the natural laws.

Compare

Have you ever gone to a rock concert? Do you notice how excited the concert goers are in being there? Lots of emotion. Lots of dancing. People cutting loose. In the moment.

And then think of Sunday morning at church. At the vast majority of churches, there is little to no real worship. There is no emotion. No dancing. No lifting hands. No bursts of responses like 'Amen.' No exuberance of being there.
Now ask yourself, what/who do YOU worship? What brings YOU more excitement?
I can tell you I go to a church where Jesus is truly worshipped. People are VERY excited about what He has done and is doing in their lives. There is singing and dancing and prophesying and testifying. There is lifting up holy hands, lots of Amens, and people on fire for the Lord.
If you haven't found this, keep looking.
One day, EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord...

Take Him at His Word

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. " - John 1:1

Can you grasp it? Jesus IS the Word. I Am.
As His child, you can... claim, stand on, cling to, believe... Jesus' promises in His Word because they are YOURS.
It's like a poor man living in a house that he doesn't know has oil in the ground below it.
All the person has to do is dig for the oil, and it's his.
It was there all along.
When you have Jesus, you've got oil in the ground below!
Just activate your faith, and the oil will start flowing!
You will be 'rich' in His blessings!

Intimacy

My favorite time of the day is when I wake up. After the alarm goes off, I have "pillow talk" with Jesus, just Him and me. I just talk to Him and tell Him how much I love Him, and I know He's there with me, allowing me another day to live for Him. It's our special time together, and I can feel His love. And during this time, when all is quiet, I can hear Him. Not audibly, but He speaks to my spiritual ears.

When I was a pre-schooler, my mother did something really neat for me. She taught me to practice His presence. If I did something wrong, she told me Jesus could always see me and that I couldn't hide anything from Him, good or bad. I remember always looking over my shoulder, because I just knew He was there. And today it's even better. He's not some pie-in-the-sky waiting to pound me with His fist, He's my best friend and He's my fiance.
And I'm enjoying our 'pillow talk.'

Endure

Oh this world is so hard sometimes. Some days I just don't have the mental strength to go on. Jesus said, "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." I also have to tell myself the verse, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." And, "Apart from Him, I can do nothing." God never said it would be easy, but He promises to be with us. Satan rules this world. And people have free will. But God says in His word, "All things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." You see, He takes circumstances that the enemy means for harm, and works them together for good. And then finally, I've read the end of the book. Jesus wins. And we can win too if we let Him live in us. That's what He means when He talks about enduring. We must endure to the end, when Jesus wins...

Life

The U.K.'s Susan Boyle admits that her mother was advised to abort her because the doctors thought the pregnancy was risky. Her devout Catholic mother never considered it. And when she was born, the doctors said, "It's probably best to accept Susan will never be anything."

Andrea Bocelli's mother was advised to abort when she had appendicitis while pregnant, making it likely that her child would be born with a disability. (He is completely blind but one of the world's best singers.)
And Tim Tebow, one of the best quarterbacks in this nation, was also recommended to be aborted since his mother had become sick in the Phillippines.
We are told not to kill, which includes a baby still in the womb.
Just leave it to God - He's always in control.
He has a plan for each of our lives.

Faith or Fear

When I was five years old, my great-grandmother, Mammy, died. Even at the young age of five, we had been very close. We stayed with her a lot when my parents went on trips, and she was one of my favorite people. When she died, I finally figured out she was never coming back, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I can remember crying and crying, then sobbing and sobbing. One of my favorite people on the planet, gone.... forever.

This started my religious quest, even at this young age. I wanted to know where she went and if I'd ever get to see her again. And I wanted to make sure that happened. It also started a huge fear of death, since I didn't understand it, or understand God, or anything spiritual. My parents were not religious at all, and did not go to church. I think, in retrospect, they didn't understand it all either, but chose not to go digging. I bought lots of books on all the world's religions and studied each one to understand what each taught. And I played with the Ouiji board with my friends a lot in junior high. I then came to understand that there is a real spiritual world, and there are good and bad powers. After playing with the Ouiji board a lot, I felt what I now know were demonic spirits bothering me. I would stand in the corner and hum loud, and when my mom and sister asked what I was doing, I answered that I was trying to drown out the voices.
My mother finally remembered her Baptist upbringing, and said, "Don't you know Jesus is more powerful than anything else?" That hit me like a ton of bricks too. So, once I got this in my head, I gave it all over to Jesus in junior high. And the voices stopped. The demons left.
As I continue to grow in my PERSONAL relationship with my Father (God), we continue to get closer and closer and more intimate. And the closer I get to Him, the less I fear death. The Bible has a lot more references about hell than it does heaven. We just don't know THAT much about it. And that's scary. But what I DO know is that when you get really, really close to Jesus, then the fear starts to leave. You trust Him implicitly, and You know that He will keep His word. He will come back for you. He will be with you forever. And it will be wonderful.
He promised.

Bow down

At church Sunday, we had a wonderful end to our praise and worship. The entire church came front and kneeled while our praise and worship team sang, "I bow down, get low..." Oh, it was powerful.

Sonship

Here's a wrap up of our sermon yesterday.

Pastor quoted someone that says there are two ways to operate in this life - fear of man or fear of the Lord.

Sonship is being so focused on God that everything else pales in comparison.

If you are worn out in life, then life (not God) has become your 'potter' (creator.)

John 4: 23 says, "But an hour is coming, and NOW IS, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers."

Dream

Recently my pastor prayed that we (our church) would have more (spiritual) dreams and visions. I agreed, and asked God to please send them to me. Last night, a very bright light next to my bedroom shined, and I thought it was the motion sensitive light, although I always remember to turn it off. This morning I went to turn it off, and it already was.... (there's no one else to turn it off.)

After the light incident, I went back to sleep and had this dream. I had won 2 rooms at a really nice vacation resort. It looked like the beautiful white stucco places in Mexico with archways. In the dream, I had gone to check it out, and was down by the water, which was a very muddy, brownish looking river with concrete banks on either side, very far apart. There was no shallow area, it was all very deep. There were young couples in their twenties and thirties there who were partying and living it up, but not watching their very young toddlers. The toddlers could hardly walk, and the parents didn't seem to care that they were getting near the edge. I was worried, but needed to get to where I was going. I saw a small child fall in, and looked around to see if anyone had noticed. I watched to see if the child was going to surface, since the water was so dirty, you could not see. In the dream, I felt the need to guard the edge, but needed to get to other things. At this point I woke up and pondered. God seemed to say that the young children represented young souls who were living close to the edge and no one seems to care if they die. I have to stand in the gap, and try to rescue these souls...

Refuge

You'll know if you're living for Christ, because the world will hate you. Jesus said so. "If you were of the world, the world would love it's own. But because you are not of this world, butI chose you out of this world, therefore the world hates you."

You will not fit in with the world. His word says we are to live IN this world but not be OF this world. When God is in control of your life, your life will be at odds with what the enemy wants since he rules this world.
But don't worry - you will find refuge in the church of your choice where you can get together with others with your beliefs, your hopes, your dreams. The world out there is rough. Let your church be an oasis in this desert-like life.

Miracle

So incredible to see God's hand in the rescue of all 33 Chilean miners. What a miracle - against all odds - with all of the many, many things that could have gone wrong, God was merciful, and all of them were given another chance at the rest of their life. I've read that some of the miners asked Jesus to 'take the wheel.' And apparently one of the men held a Bible study where they were, a half a mile under the earth's surface.

Praise God that the world witnessed this wonderful miracle!

Eagle

Today's my pastor's son spoke at church and it was great! The gist of it was that God wants intimacy with us, an intimate relationship. And that, like in a marriage, prolonged intimacy makes a big chance at birthing something. If we, as His children, are not 'birthing' something, we do not have an intimate relationship with Him. God is so in love with us. Jesus is coming back again for His 'bride,' and longs to know us intimately.

He also gave me a personal word that, as I gave a testimony in the service today, he said God told him almost audibly to 'Watch,' and then he saw (in his spiritual eyes) me transform into an eagle. He said that I, as an eagle, had bruises and scars, and was a bit torn up, but I was flying and soaring in the skies, and that I am a prophet, not only for our church, but also in the world as well.
Awesome...

Sadness

A dispute has arisen because a Canadian couple has hired a surrogate woman to carry their child. They discovered the child is likely to have Down's Syndrome and demand the surrogate abort their child. The surrogate insisted on carrying the baby to term. The surrogate reluctantly agreed to the abortion because under the terms of their agreement, the couple would be absolved of any responsibility of raising the child under these circumstances...

How tragic. A life is a life. And murder is murder, no matter how hard the circumstances. This surrogate is now an accomplice to murder, along with the parents...
In the Ten Commandments, number six is "Thou shalt not kill"

War

We are at war...... but not with flesh and blood, but with the demonic world. God's word has a lot to say about putting on our armour and fighting. "Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11) It talks about taking up our 'shield of faith' and 'fighting the good fight.'

We must fight the devil like Jesus did, with God's word. Each time satan tempted Jesus, He answered, 'It is written..." and so must we. God is truth and His word is truth. He is the great I AM. We must stand on these promises because they are ours, and they are the key to the abundant life here on earth.
Get a hold of them. Claim them. They will transform your life....

Restore

My pastor has been preaching on restoration - how God wants to restore all those things His children have lost - lost children, lost finances, lost dreams... all those things that the enemy stole, and God wants to restore them. This sounds wonderful to me, because the enemy has stolen lots of things from me over the years, and I'm going to start taking them back! I'm going to stand on His promises in His word, and reclaim what is rightfully mine!

Yes, God IS a restorer....

God is good

Praise God!! The troubled soul I wrote to yesterday got some wonderful news. And they knew it is due to God's intervention! His word says all good gifts are from God, and whatever bad happens is because the enemy is in charge of this world; that, and people have free will. Sometimes people (like my above troubled soul) think that when the bad things happen, that it is God's fault. But it's actually the opposite. The Bible says, "God works all things together for good, to them who love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." You see, God takes what happens (since we are not puppets and have free will) and works things together for good. What satan means for harm, God turns it into good for us.

Anyway, thank the Lord for stepping in and helping out this soul.

Letter

Dear Troubled Soul,

Jesus is real. Give Him a chance. You say you have, and I know you think you did, but I'm telling you His word is real, His promises are true, and they are for you and all who will accept His gift. Oh, it burdens my soul that you cannot see Him, feel Him but He is there, right beside you. He is a gentleman, and He will not force Himself on you. He gave you free will, and says in His word, "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice, I will come into him and dine with him and he with Me." It is you that must open the door. He's knocking. He wants a relationship with you. Oh, give Him a chance. He died for your sins as much as mine. He is no respecter of persons, meaning He has no favorites. I know you cannot see Him, but you have seen how He works, you have seen His healings. You have experienced His goodness, and told me so. Don't let the enemy lie to you. He is lying with everything he's got. He knows your buttons. He watches us, and figures that out. But God is greater. "Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world." Yes, the enemy has power but God created Lucifer, and gave him free will. And he chose to rebel. Don't make the same choice.
I love you so very much...

He's Alive

My wish for you is to find an awesome Spirit-filled church such as mine. Each week the praise and worship is getting better and better because God shows up!! He is there!! And it's incredible!! During our singing praise and worship, a microphone is up front so that in between songs, any one can up and share a word from the Lord, a testimony, a vision or prophecy. It is so wonderful to see what God has been doing lately in all these people's lives. God's not dead, He's alive!! It's so great to see Him also confirm what He's been saying too. For instance, God has been dealing with me about 'activating' my faith lately. Then two different people came forward to say that God has been telling them about activating their faith (and I had not mentioned this to anyone.) God gives promises in His word to His children, and our faith will activate these promises. We have to DO something. We've got to stand on His word, believe and DO (act.) We've got to lay hands on the sick. "Faith without works is dead." Living a Spirit-filled life is so exciting; it's Kingdom of God living here on earth. Hebrews says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow (forever.) He healed when he walked on this earth, and He still heals today. As Spirit-filled Christians, He LIVES in us, and He heals people through us. We are His arms and legs because He is a Spirit. He is THE Holy Spirit, sent to us after Jesus ascended into heaven.

If you've been turned off by attending dead churches with hypocrites, try a Spirit-filled church where folks have Jesus living in them. It's a world of difference, it's real and it's exciting.

Kim Clement:

God Says, "I'm Going to Surprise You Come November"

"A Mighty Army Will Be Raised Up!"

The following word was prophesied by Kim Clement on September 18, 2010 from Dallas Texas:

God says, "I'm going to surprise you come November," says the Lord. "I'm going to show you something that's never ever happened before in this nation. For this nation, which I adorned, I will begin to implore and declare to you, something fresh is on the horizon," says the Lord. "Something new is on the horizon. And are you going to let Me down, Dallas, Texas?" God says, "I will raise up righteousness again. Kids will begin to shout His Name again. People will begin to pray, pray, pray. They will pray, pray, pray. Pray, pray, pray! Pray, pray, pray! Praise, praise, praise! Praise, praise, praise!"

Big D – little a – double l – a – s – "DALLAS." Be blessed! Be whole! Be whole! Be saved! Be saved! Be right! Be right! Be rich! Be rich! Be full! Be full! Now give Him a shout of praise!

We are prophesying to the dead bones of this hour. Get ready, get ready. God wants to bring rivers of life into this place. Hallelujah! Be whole! I want you to do me a favor. I want you to copy me. Be whole! Be rich! Be full! Be right! Be saved! Be pure! Be whole! Be rich! Now open your mouth and begin to praise Him as we prophesy to the dead bones of this hour that a mighty army will be raised up. "A mighty army will be raised up," says the Lord.

The energy here tonight is so powerful. God loves it when you step outside of the box. He has His eye on the youth of this nation. I said He has His eye on the youth of this nation. Statistics are saying that Americans are going backwards in terms of their intellect and understanding, literacy. But there's a spiritual emerging that's taking place which will also affect the education, the economy, and it's coming from our kids. Without the family, we're lost.

"Enough of Sorrow, Enough of Defeat"

The following word was prophesied by Kim Clement on September 19, 2010 from Dallas Texas:

How many of you are excited about what God's going to do in Dallas? God wants to know – what if you fill that big stadium full so that other teams could win? Don't you think it's time for the Dallas Cowboys, as a sign? Do you want them to win? How about a sign from the Most High God. Let's prophesy!

"Big D – little a – double l – a – s, be blessed!" This is Dallas, and God wants to restore Texas again and bring forth something that will shake the nation. How many of you believe that God can shake the nation? Let's go! "Big D – little a – double l – a – s, be rich. Be blessed! Be right!" How about, "Big D – little a – double l – a – s, you'll win, you'll win!"

The Spirit of the Lord says, "There has been trouble, sorrow, bad reports, economic change in the State of Texas, and in many that I've chosen to bring forth a sweet fragrance to the nation. There is a new party, a political party that is arising," and God says, "it will challenge both sides of the coin, and I will bring righteousness into the schools and the universities again. Yes, I will! I will begin in this state.

"This is a pioneering state," and God says, "I listen to your praise. I listen to your voice. I listen to the sound of victory coming from you. Enough of sorrow, enough of defeat," says the Lord. "It's time to arise and shout like Jehoshaphat shouted in the presence of his enemies!"

These words that Jesus prayed are incredibly powerful, but God says, "I want to show My greatness on the shores of this nation. I want to show My people who have prayed and prayed and prayed that I have not forgotten them. There is an imminent war against Israel," and the Spirit of God says, "they shall say we will get to their shores and under their ground in America."

"In November, There Shall Be a Surprise"

God says, "In November there shall be a surprise and many of you shall say, at last, the Lord has broken the power." God says, "I am rising up for you."

And God says, "I will use the earth and the sea to demonstrate My power," and God says, "there shall be a tidal wave and the enemy shall not get to the shores. They shall say, we are baffled, why does nature stand against us? And America's great men shall stand and say, it was not nature that stood against you, it was the Lord God Most High!

"I am here to say that you have offered Me great presidents in the past. They laugh now, but soon they will say, give us back a Bush. We want a burning Bush." God says, "I will draw from the State of Texas another candidate." God said, "A young man he shall be, like your present President." And God said, "He will slay the monster of the east with the words that he speaks that I placed within him before he was even born."

"America, listen to this prophet, your greatest day, your greatest revival is upon you. For I breathe My breath into your children and children's children, and so it shall be as it was in the days of David, as in the days of Jehoshaphat, as in the days of Paul, it shall be," says the Lord. "They shall jump and there shall be sounds of victory in every house in the United States of America," says the Lord!

Smile

Mother Teresa said, "Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing."

A smile is in the universal language that we all speak. Yes, the eyes are the windows to the soul, but a smile is a wonderful gift. It's a way to say to someone that they matter to you, they matter enough for you to smile at. Have you ever smiled at someone you didn't know, and they act indifferent and don't smile back? You gave them a gift and they didn't reciprocate...
It's also how we, as Christians, are. We tell you about Jesus. It's a gift, a gift for you to accept. It's your choice. You might choose like some that don't smile back. You just sit there and do nothing.
But it's your loss, your very huge loss.
Accept the gift. And then go out and spread it...

Words

There is a verse in God's word that says let no unwholesome word come out of our mouth. Words are important to God. Not only should we not use cuss words, or take the Lord's name in vain, but in addition to that, all words should build people up. Wow... that's a lofty goal. This means no complaining. This means no gossiping. This means no negativity. This means no venting. Only words that are edifying and build people up. Obviously, humans cannot do this without God's help; without Him being inside of us and helping us to do this. The only good in us is God.

If we did what this verse says with our children alone, imagine how quickly the world would become a better place. Words hurt more than hitting does, "sticks and stones..." And I am talking to myself first. This will be my goal.
I hope you'll try too...

Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
His day is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His day is marching on.
I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on."
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Since God is marching on.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
While God is marching on.
He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave,
Our God is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.

Israel

The United States has had a blessing on us since we have supported Israel over the years. God has kept His hand of protection over us. His word says, "I will bless those that bless thee (children of Israel) and curse those that curse thee (same.)" Israel is the apple of God's eye. It's where Jesus, God incarnate lived. It is where Armageddon will take place. And it's the Holy Land, literally. We must never stop our friendship and support for Israel, or God will lift His hand of protection.

And you don't want to see what that looks like...

Time

Is it just me, or is the world spinning faster than it used to? The Bible says that the days will be shorter in the end times, and I believe this is what's happening. I know with some of the weather happenings in the last couple of years, that the scientists said the earth is actually revolving faster. This would make the days shorter.

I'm just saying...

Home

Sometimes I just want to go home... Where I feel protected. Where I feel loved. Where I have freedom. As these days get tougher and tougher, it's clearer that "home" is in heaven with my Father. This world is fleeting. My house here is very small but Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you. In my Father's house are many mansions." Life on earth is hard and stressful since satan is allowed to rule this world. But some day I'll go home. Home with my Father, and home with my family. Where there will be no more tears. Yes, heaven is God's reward for those that endure.

It's going to be paradise...

Promises

Recently I was awakened at 5:30 a.m. with terrible chest pains and thought I might be having a heart attack. I said, "Lord, I don't want to go to the hospital and go through all those tests..." So I got up with my Bible and started claiming the promises from God to His children. Like, "By the stripes of Jesus, we were healed." And, "many are the afflictions of the righteous, but He delivers me from them all." And, "they shall lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover." You see, God's Word is truth and He cannot lie. These promises are for His children to claim.

After an hour, the terrible pains subsided.
As He would have it, my annual cardiologist appointment was that afternoon. They did the heart tests and could find nothing wrong.
Yes, God never lies. He still heals. The promises are still true today.
Become one of His children, and you can claim the promises too.

Super powers

I think Super heroes are so popular because we're all looking for someone to save us. And we're all looking for super powers, but many are looking in the wrong area. There are only two forces in this world -- Good and Bad. God and satan. Black and white. Witchcraft, like satan, is deceiving. You can get God's power through the infilling of the Holy Spirit or the devil's power through witchcraft. But the latter will send you to hell.

God's power isn't lame; it's the most powerful. It's not the watered down gospel most western Christian churches preach these days.
The same power is available to you today that was available to Jesus' disciples. When you give your life to Jesus, your entire life, He will give you the gift of the Holy Spirit with the power. In Acts 1:4, Jesus commanded His disciples AND OTHERS to wait for what the Father had promised. They needed the power to go out and be a witness; they could not do it in their own strength. God had to be IN them. It has to be HIS power. (see Acts 1:8)
Read about Jesus' disciples before and after they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Acts 4:13. They were completely different men. The town people remarked about it that these were uneducated men who were now eloquent. God gave them all they needed.
He will for you too, just ask Him.

Super

Was thinking about the TV show "Undercover Boss," where the boss is so big that the employees don't even recognize him when he goes 'undercover' at his own business to do the day-to-day tasks.

I guess this is what it was like when God sent Jesus "undercover" to planet Earth. The Jews were expecting a king, a man who seemed presidential and was wealthy. The last thing they expected was a baby born in the poor part of the country. There was a saying at the time, that 'nothing good ever comes from Bethlehem.' Maybe it was like the Bronx or the ghetto.
And no woman had ever become pregnant without a man before. The virgin birth was a one time occurrence, so that the Holy Spirit would be the father.
And Jesus didn't hang out at all the finest places with all the finest people either. He met with the lowly, the sick and the sinners. From all accounts, he had average looks for someone Jewish in that day. And he was born a baby and had to grow up. He didn't preach until he was 30, when Jewish custom said a man becomes an adult.
He healed on a Sabbath, talked to Samaritans and talked to women - all of which were taboo with Jews of the day. It's the understatement of the world to say the Messiah was not what they expected. And ultimately, the only reason anyone started believing Jesus was the son of God was due to the attesting miracles. You can't argue with those. And you still can't today.
That's why Mark 16 says, "And these signs (attesting miracles) shall follow them that believe..." It's still the litmus test. It still takes the SUPERnatural to convince. People still need to see God's power at work.
God still heals. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He's still in the miracle making business. And He's still not what people expect.
Too many people get caught up in the pomp and circumstance of 'religion.' But Jesus wants a relationship - a living relationship. He's real. He's powerful. He's the creator of everything. He's love. He's truth. He's the beginning (Alpha) and the end (Omega.)
Life with Jesus is exciting. It's outside the box. Outside the laws of nature.
It's SUPERnatural.

Power

In Mark 16: 15-18, God's word says,

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel (good news that Jesus saves) to all creation.
He who has BELIEVED and has been BAPTIZED shall be SAVED;
but he who has DISBELIEVED shall be CONDEMNED.
And these signs (attesting miracles) WILL ACCOMPANY those who have BELIEVED;
in My name they will cast out demons,
they will speak with new tongues;
they will pick up serpents,
and if they drink any deadly poison, it shall not hurt them;
they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Once you are filled with God's Spirit, you will have God's power.
Our pastor told a story from 15 years ago today. He and his family had stopped at a convenience store to get some drinks, but pastor saw a big man walk in as he drove up, and God told him to watch this man. He told his four children to stay in the car, and locked it as he got out. As he went in, the man started waving a huge (larger than butcher) knife at the woman behind the counter, and she was running toward the door, as pastor was opening the door, he yelled, "Everybody out!"
Since this was before cell phones, he went in the adjoining phone booth, and called the police and the dispatcher asked him to stay on the line. Then he heard yelling. It was his oldest son sticking his head out of the car window, yelling, "I rebuke you devil!! In the name of Jesus, I bind you from doing any harm." Pastor was flabbergasted and delighted all at the same time. Then, the man (who had been waving his knife through the window at pastor) put his knife down, and climbed on the counter and just sat there until the police came and arrested him.
His son, John, age 12, knew the truth, and was using God's power to bind the demonic spirits in this man. John had a lot more faith than most adults did.... and you can too.
Ask Jesus in your heart today.

Physical/ Spiritual

Just a tidbit that I've heard at church a lot recently. That what happens in the physical world also happens in the spiritual world. Right now the area where I live is finally getting rain after years of drought. God has also said in prophecies that He is bringing spiritual rain. When the oil spill was gushing, the Lord told me that it was a metaphor for the sin that was pouring into the USA and the entire world.

Watch for the signs...

God is still on the throne

No matter what is happening around you, God is still on the throne, He's still the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We all have free will... until Jesus comes back.

Then, His word says, "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord."

Depressed?

Are you dealing with depression or know someone who is?

There is a cure... go down to the nearest homeless shelter and see how much worse someone else has it than you. Try volunteering there for awhile. Try helping someone else. Put someone else's problems before your own. Give to the needy.
Stop comparing yourself to your currently fortunate friends. Make a list of all the things you're thankful for. Can you walk? Hear? See? Smell? Taste? Do you have a roof over your head? Don't take these things for granted.
Except by the grace of God, there go you.

Freedom

In case you didn't know...

depression is a spirit
lust is a spirit
sexual sins are spirits
gluttony is a spirit
Anything bad you can name... it's a spirit
The good news is Jesus can DELIVER you from your bondage.
He can set you free if you allow Him to.
He can break you out of your chains, your addictions, your afflictions.
There is hope. He is real. He delivered me and He can deliver you...

Mammon

Yesterday's sermon was about debt. It's choking the whole world...

The Bible has a lot to say about not being in debt, and to be a lender rather than enslaved as a borrower. Debt is an enormous problem - our national government is in trillions of dollars of debt and continues to print money, borrow from other countries, and say we can spend our way out of our troubles ( which makes NO sense.) Our states are in trouble and our citizens are in trouble.
But this is the symptom. The problem is greed. No one can live within their means. Few are saving - very few. And the nature of politics has only fed and worsened the situation. Politicians 'buy' votes and then reward them from slush funds. It's alarming.
First of all we need to give our 'first fruits' to God - our tithe (10% off the top.) And God promises to take care of our needs. This is key! We must be faithful to God. It's a covenant - you do your part and He will do His. And we need to work our way out of debt. When we are paying 20% to credit card companies, this is irresponsible and wasteful, since the money could be going to God's work.
It's going to take discipline, but it's the right thing...

Worship the same God?

Nine years ago today, our world in America changed forever. Innocence lost. When I was growing up, it was the Soviet Union that was scary. To me, it was the Good Guys versus the Bad Guys, and their communism seemed so strangling. Well, in a short time, the 'wall' fell and the Soviet Union broke up into separate countries again, and the world seemed to get some hope back. Until 9-11-01...

A new radical faction had reared it's ugly head, and just because we are free and don't believe like them, we were attacked. When the shock had sunk in, I found it to be bazaar, because we were not fighting an actual country with an army, but we were fighting radical Muslims lead by a man thought to be hiding in caves....

When I grew up, there were Muslims, but they didn't kill the 'infidel.' I don't know when it changed, or why or how, but it did. And 9-11 was the wake up call. It made me angry that the majority of the non-radical Muslims did not speak out about this horror. Was it because they too were afraid? Or was it that they, too, believed this way but let others do the killing? I still don't know.

I know as a Christian, that I would like to tell others about Jesus, and how He will save them from eternal hell and make their life on earth better. But then I will leave it at that. Then the 'ball is in their court.' The Muslims are opposite, or at least the radicals are. They don't have the same principles as we do.

We base our laws from the Judeo-Christian belief system - the 10 Commandments. We believe that killing, lying and stealing are wrong. We believe in respecting women. And we believe in freedom. The Muslim faith does not. They believe lying and killing the infidel are okay. They treat women horribly. And there is no freedom at all.

There's the difference. And they want to conquer the world and FORCE everyone to comply with what they believe.

Well, Obama is wrong. We don't worship the same God. The God of the Bible says different things than what Allah tells Muslims.

Now THAT is the truth...

Number 1

Put Jesus number one in your life. "Seek you first the kingdom of God and all other things will you then be added." Commandment #1 in the Ten Commandments is, you should have no other gods before Him. His word says He is a jealous God. As His church, we are referred to as His bride. Like lovers, we want our spouse to be faithful and to love us the most.

Think about it.

Peace

I don't know how anyone makes it in this life without Jesus... I know I tried for many years. It's why so many people are so hopeless and depressed. They find so many crutches to get them through, but it only makes things worse. Crutches like drinking, drugs, smoking... actually anything, such as sex addictions like Tiger Woods. Or exercise addictions like many jocks. Or plastic surgery addictions like many Hollywood celebrities. But it all ends up as vanity...

Jesus is the only thing that will bring you peace. Peace in your soul. Peace that passes all understanding. Jesus said, "I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly."
I wish for you... peace.

Tongues

When Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost, the evidence is in speaking in 'tongues.' It's a foreign language that God gives you to talk to Him. It comes from the gut, like when you sing, and it just bubbles out of your spirit. It is such an awesome thing to talk to God in His special language. And it's for everyone that wants to, just ask Him.

Are you ready TODAY?

It seems most of us live for tomorrow. We're planning. We're organizing. We're thinking everything is later. We're saving for college, retirement, vacations, etc. Lately, I've been wondering if Jesus came back, like today, that all that planning, all of that saving, would really be in vain. I know. If I don't do it, it might be later than I thought, so I probably have to stick with the planning.

But it begs the question, are you ready TODAY? Seriously. Think about it. If you die today or if Jesus comes back today, are you ready? Are you in the right relationship with Jesus that you will be in heaven with Him for eternity? Do you have 'fire insurance?' Jesus died on the cross to take our punishment. We have to accept His gift. And we have to give it all over to Him. And then we have to let Him 'drive.'

In the Book of Acts, the people saw Peter's boldness after Jesus was resurrected, and they had received power from the Holy Spirit, as Jesus had commanded them to do. They were 'pierced to the heart' and asked, "What shall we do?"

In Acts 2:28 it says, "And Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself."

Repent means to turn away from, like an about face in the military. Turn away from the wrong things; do an about face from them.

Confess your sins (agree with God that they are wrong.) His word says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Get ready. You never know when your time on earth is done.
